Set Up
Everything you connect and configure before the conversations start: your messaging channels, your AI, and the knowledge it works from.
- Channels — connect WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, SMS, Telegram, Email, the website chat widget and more. Each guide covers one channel from start to finish. Which Channels We Support is the one-page answer to “do you support X?”
- Your AI — create AI Agents (reusable AI personas), route conversations with Entry Points, and fine-tune behavior in Setting Up Your AI Bot.
- Knowledge — teach the AI your business with FAQs, WhatsApp Templates, the Media Library, and more.
What about phone calls?
Your AI Connector is a messaging platform, so every channel above is text-based. There is no dialer, no AI voice agent, and no live transfer of a prospect to your phone. Cold calling and warm-transferring a lead onto a call are not things the platform does.
Two related things that do exist, so you know where the line is:
- Phone numbers you buy through the platform are for WhatsApp, not for calling. If someone dials one they reach an automated recorder rather than a person, there is no voicemail inbox in the app to listen back to, and you cannot call out from the number. That recorder exists so WhatsApp’s automated verification call can be answered during setup. See WhatsApp Business.
- If you already use a voice-calling tool, the AI can trigger it for you. Set up a custom function that fires once the AI has qualified a lead, and your voice tool places the call. The conversation and the qualifying happen in Your AI Connector; the dialing happens in that tool.
