Campaigns Have Moved to Broadcasts & Agents
Classic campaigns bundled everything into one thing: who to message, what to say, when to send it, how the bot replies, and which conversations the bot picks up. The newer system splits that bundle into three focused pieces:
| Piece | What it owns | Classic campaign equivalent |
|---|---|---|
| Broadcast | The send: audience list, opening message, channel, schedule, drip pacing | The campaign’s audience, opener, and schedule |
| AI Agent | The brain: persona, instructions, FAQs, tools, model, active hours | The campaign’s bot configuration |
| Entry Point | The routing: which Agent picks up a new conversation | Channel Routing cards and trigger keywords |
The payoff: build a bot once as an Agent and reuse it across every broadcast and channel, instead of re-creating it inside each campaign.
The Move Has Already Happened — Nothing Was Lost
Your account has already moved, and the Campaigns page is gone. Every campaign’s bot is now an AI Agent, and every campaign that sends messages appears on the Broadcasts page.
- Every campaign’s bot is an Agent. It appears on the AI Agents page with the same instructions, FAQs, and settings.
- Every campaign that sends messages appears on the Broadcasts page, marked with a Classic campaign tag. Pause, resume, and edits work from there.
- Routing comes from Entry Points. The old Channel Routing cards are gone with the page they lived on.
- Old links still work. A bookmark to a campaign lands on that campaign’s Agent editor rather than breaking.
Recommended Path, Step by Step
You can move at your own pace. This order keeps everything working at every step:
1. Start new sends as Broadcasts
Next time you’d have created a campaign to message a list, create a Broadcast instead. The wizard covers the same ground — audience, message, channel, schedule — and in the Replies step you pick which Agent answers, or leave replies to your team.
2. Tidy up your Agents
Open the AI Agents page. You’ll find one Agent per campaign bot, named after the campaign. If several campaigns used copies of the same bot, this is the moment to consolidate: pick the best one, polish its instructions, and use it for your new broadcasts going forward. Anything the Agent says or knows comes from the Agent itself — so improving the Agent immediately improves every conversation it answers.
3. Move a proven campaign onto the new system
When you want a classic campaign to live fully on the new system, open its entry on the Broadcasts page and Duplicate it. The copy is a brand-new, independent broadcast — same audience, message, and settings — no longer linked to the classic campaign. Launch the copy, then pause or retire the original from its row on the Broadcasts page, so contacts aren’t messaged twice.
4. Set your routing with Entry Points
Set your Default Agents per channel and any keyword or comment rules as Entry Points. These decide who answers a new, unmatched contact on each channel; a channel left without a pick gets no automatic reply.
Where the Old Campaign Steps Went
The campaign editor had eleven steps. Nine of them are now steps in the agent editor; the other two moved elsewhere.
| Old campaign step | Where it is now |
|---|---|
| Setup & Channels | Channels are connected in Settings → Channels. Who answers them is an Entry Point. |
| AI Instructions | Agent editor, step 1 — AI Instructions |
| Active Hours | Agent editor, step 2 — Active Hours |
| Bookings | Agent editor, step 5 — AI Abilities, in the Bookings card |
| Media | Agent editor, step 3 — Media |
| FAQs & Knowledge | Agent editor, step 4 — FAQs & Knowledge |
| Tags | Agent editor, step 6 — Tags |
| AI abilities | Agent editor, step 5 — AI Abilities |
| Follow-ups | Agent editor, step 7 — Follow-ups |
| Try Out | Agent editor, step 9 — Try Out |
| Launch | The Active / Paused button on the agent’s row on the AI Agents page |
| Opening Message | The Message step of a Broadcast |
Two things the campaign editor had that the agent editor does not: a separate overview page (an agent’s row opens straight into its editor) and a row menu (the AI Agents list puts pause, duplicate, copy-to-sub-account and delete as buttons in each row instead). Optimize with AI moved too — it’s a button in the header of the agent editor now.
Common Questions
Do I have to do anything? No. Everything was migrated for you, and both your bots and your sends kept working through it.
Will my contacts notice anything? No. Moving a campaign onto Broadcasts and Agents never changes what a contact receives unless you launch or pause something yourself.
Can I still see my old campaigns? Yes — one as an Agent on the AI Agents page, and, if it had an audience and an opener, one as a Classic campaign row on the Broadcasts page.
What happens to my campaign analytics? The classic campaign keeps its history. A duplicated broadcast starts its own stats from launch.
